Automate™ Shades Expands Third Party Integration to Include Updated Crestron Home Driver
10th November 2021
November 11, 2021, Stamford, CT – Rollease Acmeda, a global leader in the window covering industry, has expanded the third-party integration of their Smart Shade Control to include Crestron Home.
Through collaboration with their software development partner, Control Concepts, Inc., Rollease Acmeda has invested in Crestron Home Drivers enabling their Automate product line to seamlessly work with the popular Crestron Home platform.
“Crestron Home has an auto-discovery feature that address some of the challenges experienced by Crestron Integrators when using Pulse 2 Hub and Automate motor platforms,” explained Jonny Matuichuk, Product Manager, Rollease Acmeda. “The new Crestron Home driver makes our Pulse 2 Hub a universal platform working with all major home automation systems.”
Not only does the Crestron Home Driver increase compatibility with more home automation platforms, but it also expands the features of the Pulse 2 Hub. Using the new Crestron driver, customers and integrators will be able to identify device power type (if an AC, DC, or Battery motor), signal strength (RSSI value) and Shade position feedback.
“As Crestron Home has broadened its features to support more third-party products of varying types known as ‘Extension Devices’, Rollease Acmeda seized the opportunity to be an early adopter in expanding the control system compatibility of the Automate,” remarked Steve Greenblatt, Control Concepts President and Founder. “This was a natural fit for Rollease Acmeda and great strategic move to bolster the integration resources they provide for their clients.”
The relationship between Rollease Acmeda and Control Concepts dates back to 2017 with the development of Crestron and AMX drivers and ongoing support for those integrators and programmers who need assistance with implementation.
“Rollease has been working with Control Concepts since 1st Pulse Hub GEN, and that partnership has leveraged our platform to the next level,” stated Matuichuk. “We would love to keep working with them for future projects as well.”
